Creighton Art Studios

When Juliette and I first opened our Etsy shop, we sold out the first day! We had a minimal amount of inventory and were selling little note cards with floral, and watercolor designs on them. Since then, we have upgraded from note cards to greeting cards and expanded into the bookmark business.

Not only have we discovered new products, and gotten even more creative with our designs, but exactly one month after we opened our Etsy shop, we became proud product creators and sellers at the one and only Indie West Studios, in Oakwood, Ohio.

The origin story of how we became sellers at Indie West is pretty sweet one. Juliette and my dad Sean walked into this boutique right before we were heading somewhere to buy a shirt. They were in there for a while and my mom and I began to wonder how long it took for them to buy a shirt. When they walked out of Indie West, they had huge smiles on their faces and bought a beautiful black linen shirt.

Juliette sat next to me in the car and told us how they walked into Indie West and while my dad was looking at shirts, Juliette gave Ashley (one of the amazing store owners) one of our business cards and said to her, “My sister and I just started a business. Would you maybe want to buy some of our cards?” Ashley replied, “We would love to sell them here!”

When Juliette told us, we were so excited and proud of her for putting herself out there and being so open to sharing our business with the world! Ever since then, we have been such close collaborators with Ashley and Shalini and are eternally grateful to be able to work with such fabulous people.

Running a business has always been a dream of ours and we are utilizing our talents to share our love of art and letter writing with the world. There is something so special about a hand-penned letter or note, sent to a loved one and we are so honored that we have the amazing chance to take on our dream!
